Course Resources
This is a repository for general course resources, some of which are linked from other portions of the site as well. As the course continues, this page is expected to grow.
Understandin Democracy: A Hip Pocket Guide
Course Textbooks
There is no physical textbook for this course, but there are a series of books online (free) that you are expected to read. They do work on mobile devices, and can be downloaded to e-readers (available in the library) or computers. If you cannot gain access to these materials, you must let me know ASAP.
Supreme Court Cases
On this page are a selection of the Supreme Court cases that we will be discussing throughout the course. Some of these are the full opinions, so they are quite long (i.e. we may only read portions of some of them). The "Landmark Cases" provide review resources through an organization called Street Law, Inc.
Crash Course: US Government & Politics
This series gives a strong overview of how the American government works, including quite specific information about the lega system and the Supreme Court starting at about episode 18.
TedEd Lessons
This is a collection of lessons from TedEd designed for class. Some will specifically be assigned as homework and some will just be recommended for review. During the semester, you will also have the option of creating your own TedEd lessons.
