Movies & Documentaries
There is really not enough time to watch full movies until after the AP test, but there are a few that encompass the feel of the era (the recent Marie Antoinette movie) or do a nice job making the history approachable (The King's Speech). Otherwise, pieces out of the BBC series Monarchy are excellent, as are sections of Engineering an Empire and the Empires collection has a lovely piece titled Medici: Godfathers of the Renaissance.
Websites
- European History StudyStack: Flashcards to help study
- Webpage a group made from the 2011-2012 class made about the Eighteenth Century Wars
- Great timeline that covers art/artists from the AP test.
- The Holy Grail of AP Euro information, this site has everything that you could need: outlines, study guides, practice tests, dbqs, online quizzes. Thank you Sue Pojer for your amazingness, and for putting it all online.
- Edmodo has a great Facebook-like interface, and if the class can be trusted to act appropriately, it is the best way to share resources and work. This is a free site, and the teacher has access to reset student passwords, just in case.
- Wix.com is a free website building tool that is easy to use, and can make both flash and html sites. It was used to make both this site and the "Eighteenth Century Wars" site above.
