EQ: What do Americans think of other Americans?
With a partner, label all of the states on the blank map of the United States. Then, either on the map, or on another piece of paper, write down one thing that you know about each of the states (or a word that you associate with them- like Massachusetts & Wicked Awesome Drivers)
When done, start going through you identifiers and look for patterns, for example, everything in the Northwest has to do with nature, or something like that. Pick out those themes and identify them in a paragraph answering the essential question.
