Ms. Parkinson is amazingly sick today and currently sneezing so much that her cat is cowering in fear. So you have a sub today!

Today you are going to be working on practicing your reading, outlining, and mind mapping skills.  Each of you will read ONE section from the packet on Ancient Rome (I gave you the whole thing so that you could have some backup info for your binder). Then, you are to create an outline based upon this essential question: What made that person/event so important? Here is another copy of the sample outline sheet that you will get in class, please save to help you structure your paper outline due next Friday (April 3). When done outlining, you are to create a mind map of the reading that you chose (with lots of pretty pictures and the main themes and topics that you identified from your outline). Please leave completed ones on my desk in the yellow bin (with your names on them). 

 

Homework: Finish your next set of notecards (10) for your Famous European paper.
